Upcoming Classes

 

Knitting 1: $20 Learn the basics so you can enjoy the soothing qualities of knitting. Saturday, Feb 13: 2—4 pm and Feb 27: 10:30—12:30 Registration closes 2 days before class. Ask about supplies.

 

Mittens:  $30 Knitted on double points: This one day project will familiarize you with knitting in the round using double point needles. You’ll learn increasing, decreasing, how to create a thumb opening and then go back and pick up those stitches to create the thumb.  Saturday, Feb 20: 1—5 pm. Skills needed: unassisted cast-on, knit & purl stitches. One 4-hour class.

 

Felted Handbag: $50 This attractive bag will be a great addition to your accessory wardrobe. Knitted in the round, this bag knits up quickly with two strands of yarn. Learn to make jogless color changes, a strong I-cord rim and how to add pockets and magnetic snaps for that professional finish. Homework required. Felting done at second class. Saturday, Mar 6: 10:30 am —4 pm and Mar 27: 1—4 pm.

 

Entrelac scarf: $40 Entrelac is a succession of blocks built one row at a time, leaning to the left and then to the right on a base of triangles. This is for intermediate knitters who are capable of casting on, knitting, purling, increasing & decreasing unassisted. It’s fun and honestly…..addictive. Saturday, April 10: 12—4 pm.
